Europe is regarded as the birthplace of Western culture. It has played a predominant role in global affairs from the 16th century onwards.

Most of Europe is one land mass divided in approximately 50 countries. A number of larger island states form also part of Europe: The United Kingdom and Ireland, Iceland, Greenland[1], Malta and Cyprus[2]. Russia is part-Europe (about 40%) and part-Asia.

The word ‘Europe’ is sometimes used in a geo-politically limiting way to refer only to the European Union or, even more exclusively, a culturally defined core. Although the Council of Europe has 47 member countries, only 27 states are in the European Union. And 16 are part of the Euro Zone with the Euro as their sole legal tender.

London's Tower Bridge

Votiv Church - Vienna Austria

Europe is full of historic antiquities, wonderful cities and country-sites, mountains and flat-lands, beaches, lakes and rivers.

All over Europe all forms of excellent accommodation facilities for every requirement are plentiful from a well organized camping system to short and long term apartments, guest-houses, bed and breakfast and the most wonderful hotels.

Mykonos - Greece

Luxurious and leading hotels and palazzos or simple but still excellent hotels, villas and chalets. It’s all there.
One can always find in any class, well positioned, clean and reliable accommodation facilities. Generally speaking Europe is not expensive for what one gets.

Most of Europe has a high quality and dense road and freeway system, super high-speed-train, tunnels and ferries, one of the world’s best airline systems with small to major sized airports densely located as well as extensive river cruise facilities.

A very large part of Europe has no border control anymore and after first arrival one can freely travel from country to country and depending on visa and or passport facilities stay for prolonged periods.

Depending on country and regions various different languages are used including of course English on the British Isles. You will be amazed though how much throughout mainland Europe English is understood and spoken.
Let’s go!
